Meetup in Lot N01 (location)
Just inside the UW campus main gate off 45th St. at 6:30AM, about 30 minutes prior to sunrise. Once we’re all present and introduced, we’ll get started!
 
This photo workshop is geared for the beginner, amateur & any other photographers that want ot take advantage of this iconic Seattle landmark. You should be able to shoot in shutter/aperture priority mode at the minimum. Primarily we’ll be working in manual mode. Bring your questions, I’m here to help!
 
If there’s interest in a post-processing class, we can schedule that via Zoom.
 
Required Equipment:
  • DSLR or mirrorless camera
  • A wide-angle lens (24-70mm, 156-35mm)
  • Rain cover for your camera in case of bad weather.
  • Sturdy tripod

Tumwater Canyon and Leavenworth WA Falls

  • Wide angle lens are best for a stunning landscapre photo
  • 24-70mm, 14-36mm are (2) good choices but we can work with anything you have.
  • Rain cover for your camera
  • Clothing – Rain isn’t a bad thing for fall colors, it’s the best! So rain or shine we’ll be out there …
Itinerary:

Meet in hotel lobby Leavenworth.

Head over to Blackbird Island, where we will spend the morning shooting the vivid colors and breathtaking panoramas on Blackbird Is.

Take a break for lunch plus Q & A

Head out again at 3PM for a drive thru Tumwater Canyon where I will share some of my favorite locations for fall colors during golden hour.
